Jen Regan grew up near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada but has called the tiny Rocky Mountain town of Golden, BC her home since 2001. In 2005 she graduated from the Commercial Animation program held at Capilano College, North Vancouver. Many years were spent working in the Vancouver television animation industry, contributing to eleven successful productions such as Polly Pocket, Littlest Petshop, Transformers Rescue Bots and the wildly popular My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic. All the while torn between two opposite existences, the rain soaked gentrification of Vancouver and the down to Earth hard working and super-fun ski town of Golden, surrounded by national parks and true wilderness. Finally in 2014 she settled in Golden permanently where the landscape and it's creatures serve as soulful inspiration for her artistic practice. In 2023 she decided to set the computer aside to pursue her true passion of hands-on art.

I'm enthralled with the puzzle that is the human body and its anatomy. I'm in an exploratory phase of study in clay,  paint and leather.  Currently my interest is in larger scale painting and realist animal sculpture. A lifelong student having taken many excellent workshops such as digital painting with The Art Department (Tad) with Jason Manley and Jon Foster, Scott Eaton's anatomy course and recently had the privilege to study in person with sculptor Andrew Cawrse of Anatomytools.com in Las Vegas. I've also created works in bronze through the University of Lethbridge, Alberta.
